I had an eye-opening experience just lately. I had been going through some ‘stuff’ having to do with growing pains spiritually and emotionally speaking. I do have a tendency to get confused trying to figure out which thoughts to listen to and work with, and thereby I actually create a further problem: frustration and dissatisfaction with myself. After a couple of days and parts of the nights worrying, I finally sort of yelled at the Lord: “Help me here!”
And…..
I am trying something new here. Hope you can get this: I was tuning in to Marianne Williamson’s talk yesterday on the Internet. She was speaking at the University of NH, and I thought she was right on about what needs to happen for real change to come about in our country. Some of you may not be aware that Marianne is running for president; (go to marianne2020.com) she may not win, but I’m sure she will keep on reminding…..
Love is how we can tell truth from illusion. Am I able to love unconditionally as our Creator does? Whoa! That sounds pretty drastic, doesn’t it? Well, I think it’s possible because I’ve met people who can . . . And I’m pretty sure you may have come across persons in your lifetime who have loved people without question or restriction.
Love is not dead in our world even though it may seem as if it is. Anything else: fear, worry, anxiety,…..
It has been a while since I’ve written. I had a problem accessing my website but finally, after almost a month of going back and forth with the provider, Balboa Press came through.
I have come across many powerful teachings from various authors and teachers lately that I want to share with you. Here are some of them:
From The Wisdom Jesus by Cynthia Bourgeault : “LET IT BE. . . The act of letting go, as a cosmic energy…..
Getting old is a truly surprising and interesting experience. I know it’s different for everybody, and much depends on where one is on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual plane. It can be exciting or scary, fun or downright boring, delightful or not so pleasant. And I know that I have a choice as to what it’ll be like . . . to a certain degree.
I have no choice about an accident happening, or sickness appearing out of nowhere,…..
My twenty-year old car broke down last week. I brought it in to my auto-repair man (Scott) and explained that the car had gotten so noisy that I could hardly bear it. He checked it out and gave me the sad story that the whole exhaust system was rusted and gone kaput! The front exhaust could be repaired at a reasonable price, but the back system was a real killer!! I would have to dish out more than $800 to repair…..
Love is what it’s all about, isn’t it? And it’s the only thing that will put this world right again, even though it seems an impossible task. But the importance of turning to LOVE is getting through to many people: I see people being more loving and kind whatever happens in their lives.
One of my dear nieces, affiliated with Antioch University in Seattle, recently went to teach a Leadership program at one of their colleges in Ohio. When she…..
A few weeks ago, I went to the Boston Aquarium with my dear niece, Karen. I had just read the book The Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery, and really wanted to get to the Aquarium if at all possible. So, when my visiting niece heard how interested I was in viewing these marvelous animals first hand, she offered to come with me. We took the bus and had an easy and comfortable ride over.
I went directly to…..
With all the ugliness going on in the world right now, it seems absolutely necessary to focus more and more on PRACTICING LOVE AND COMPASSION for ourselves and for others. Only then will it be possible for people to change for the better and for the planet to become a safer, more peaceful and gentle place.
This may not seem to be a very practical solution, but every kind act we perform towards ourselves and others and all life forms, …..
Yesterday (3/4) I came upon an eye-opening program on ABC which dramatically brought to light the deporting system that’s going on right now in our country, especially in states like New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. It is very sad to see the fear that illegal immigrants live with every day. They have grown up in this country, and have been part of the work force all of their adult lives, feeling very blessed to have found the promised safety of America……
